On the growing number of roles for older women, she said: 'People have realized that women just get sexier as they get older. They get more learned and more rich with character. All of that is very beautiful and attractive, and not just physically, but on the inside, the beauty that you gain as you get older, the wisdom you gain'

She expressed that there are now more opportunities for older women in various roles. According to her, there is a growing appreciation for the fact that women become more attractive as they age. They become wiser, more experienced, and develop a richer personality. This internal beauty and wisdom that comes with age are not only attractive physically but also resonate deeply.

She continued: 'I see myself working [as long as] I want to. I don¿t know what that age is. It might be 70, it might be 80, it might be 90, I don¿t know'

In a recent conversation, she expressed her intention to keep working for as long as she desires, without being limited by age. She emphasized the beauty and wisdom that come with aging, noting that the inner growth is just as appealing as the physical changes.

When it comes to creating projects that focus on women, she mentioned, “There have been pioneers laying the foundation for this movement for a while. It just takes time to break down old ideas and shift them towards meaningful change.”
Reflecting on her past work, she admitted, “I realize now that I should have been more selective. If I could go back, I would have prioritized understanding the director’s role in a project more when I was acting. Just like in music, the producers you collaborate with are crucial. I knew this in music, but I didn’t fully grasp it when I was younger in terms of working with directors.”
This trailblazer is determined to match the achievements of men, and nowadays, she is crafting her own narrative. Through her production company Nuyorican Productions, she has brought to life projects like Hustlers, The Mother on Netflix, and TV shows like The Fosters and Shades of Blue.
She expressed, “I aim to cover a wide range of stories, from uplifting and empowering tales to gritty gangster movies. I want to explore all genres and aspects of storytelling just like male creators do. I aspire to do it all.”
